"As an engineer and lifelong aviation enthusiast, I am greatly inspired by the Art Deco movement of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. The bold, sleek lines of this style evoke the spirit of an age when skyscrapers pierced the sky, radio was shrinking the globe, and the airplane was the most futuristic, luxurious way to travel. An age when technology promised a bright new future, when anything seemed possible. 

Through my artwork I have tried to recapture this optimistic spirit, as portrayed in the airline and travel posters of the period: the awe and wonder of silver machines soaring through the sky, the prestige and luxury of darting across the globe faster than any train or boat, and the mystery and romance of far-flung lands. It is a spirit I very much wish to keep alive, for what knows what wonders the future will bring?".
