I am a young artist at UWO, looking to make my mark on the world. Currently, my focus is oil and acrylic painting, but I have extensive experience in drawing, and painting (in many mediums including acrylic, watercolour, oil and gouache).
The focus of many of my paintings are portraits or landscapes. I am an artist to the core, and have recently branched my artwork out in sculpture. Realism is the name of my game, mixed with a painterly touch to add individualism and a contemporary feel to my pieces.
I hope to use my developed technical training to attract an audience, and hopefully instill a new point of view towards old stereotypes. In my alway growing experience and learnings, I have been greatly inspired by artists such as Alphonse Mucha, Jenny Saville and Gericault, and am continuing to find new artists to admire and use as reference.
I am inspired by the people around me, and I am always looking to better my artistic techniques. In the past, my works reflected a connection between nature and urban structure. Now, I have focus on human representation and realism. Most of my pieces are very colourful, not always using the proper colours in their proper places, but using them to manipulate light and the shapes to give the viewer a scene that they wish to see and interpret in a more personal way.
