The ideas behind my pieces are not concerned with a specific meaning, for I believe no viewer will ever truly grip an artist's connotation. I think others shouldn't focus on interpretation of the pieces but rather what it means to them, or what they see. Once the artist allows others to view his or her work, it is no longer about them. Therefore, I prefer abstract, non-realistic pieces so the audience can focus on their personal opinion and thought process rather than what I was thinking during its creation. I believe art historians and critics get too caught up in the vague interpretation of art work that we forget how to properly enjoy and appreciate the physical and present work of art.
