My selection process for subjects is mostly determined by serendipity. Often my first or second choice for a canvas doesn't stand the test of time but becomes part of the end result either in subject matter, colour pallet or as part of the underlying texture. This piece is a good representation of my creative process and I'm very pleased with the result.
